Riff Realm
All things guitar.

THE BRIEF
Founded with love for all things guitar, Riff Realm is more than just a shop - it’s a destination for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts. Their shop is a haven for musicians of all ages and skill levels. Step through their doors, and you’ll find yourself immersed in a world of meticulously curated guitars accessories, and expertise. Each instrument is handpicked for its quality, craftsmanship, and soul-string sound, ensuring that every strum and pluck is a pure delight.

THE IDEA
My first thought was to use the double "R" and form it into a guitar-like shape by reversing one of the letters but that seemed like a super obvious choice, given the tagline being "All things guitar". Hence "realm" being a synonym "kingdom" I've decided to go with blackletter typeface to get that medieval-ish feel and the typography used in that period of time. It also brings to mind the elites such as kings, queens and knights, therefore anyone joining the realm of guitar players would become a member of an elite group. This makes being a guitarist a part of something bigger, something important.

TYPOGRAPHY AND COLORS
For main headers I chose Amador typeface to go along with the logo and maintain the medieval-ish realm feel. For sub-headers, body text and captions I used Khand. It's a modern typeface which indicates that the company is up-to-date with the current trends, equipment nuances and the entire music market. The mix of both typefaces also create a feeling of a combination of elite, solid and professional. The color scheme is based on black, white and shades of grey. There's Royal Red is included for accents, mainly in web design such as CTAs, etc.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION
The main focus in the style of communication is showing off the people who make the realm - guitar players. The shop always encourages their customers to send over photos with their new instrument, whether it's them playing live, at home or it's the guitar by itself. This way they pay respect to those who support the shop and help young bands reach a broader public. All this to keep the guitar culture alive.
